In the past 14 years living in NYC, Guthrie has had to reinvent himself in many ways. He delved into the acting field and accumulated some credits from Broadway to Nurse Jackie. Currently Guthrie is focused as an educator, primarily in American Sign Language at the Sign Language Center to hosting workshops for high school students through the Theatre Development Fund. In addition, he works as a museum docent for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Guggenheim Museum, The Intrepid Museum and the Rubin Museum of Art. Also within the theatre spectrum, he is a consultant for several Broadway producers to provide a more accessible experience to the disability community via the Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts. Recently, Guthrie has embraced his adventurous spirit by hiking 800 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail. He has catalogued this journey on www.guthrienutter.com, and looks forward to his next big adventure in 2012.
